SPREAD CULINARY QUINTESSENCE OF THE TEA HOMELAND

Thai Nguyen has natural conditions suitable for the development of agriculture and forestry, together with many ethnic groups living together, has created a diverse cultural identity, rich and unique cuisine. In order to introduce, promote and spread the culinary quintessence of the locality to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists, the Office of the Coordination Office of the National Target Program to build a new rural area in Thai Nguyen province held a contest "culinary culture quintessence of Thai Nguyen province" in 2022, attracting the participation of 9 districts and cities and many famous chefs and artisans in the province.
The contest is not only an opportunity for chefs and artisans to show their skills, but also an opportunity for them to meet and exchange cooking experiences. The carefully prepared and elaborately decorated dishes made an impression on the judges and tourists.
Mr. Le Van Quyet - Deputy Head of the Artisan Division, Vietnam Culinary Culture Association said: “Thai Nguyen is successful in organizing a contest to promote and introduce culinary culture. The competition teams were also very enthusiastic, the dishes were delicious and beautifully decorated.”
In addition to the cooking competition, the contest also has booths to display and introduce typical agricultural products and OCOP products of localities and units in the province, thereby creating opportunities for cooperatives, production and business enterprises to promote their brands, find customers and expand the consumption of agricultural products
Mr. Tran Nho Huong - Deputy Chief of Office for Coordination of National Target for New Rural Development in Thai Nguyen Province shared that: “The contest aims to introduce and promote typical local products to consumers, and at the same time honoring artisans and chefs in creating delicious and unique dishes. The products with high award will be supported by us in trade promotion in the media.”
The contest is really successful, becoming a bridge for people to experience and feel the unique features of cuisine in the Tea homeland and spread positive values for many localities across the country to learn, thus contributing to preserving the quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine, helping the cuisine to last forever with time.
